Tip#1Next Forecasting TipConfidence level of the forecastPredictWind uses two input sources to generate two separate forecasts. Comparing the PredictWind forecasts (GFS Input or CMC Input) will give you confidence in the forecast. This is easily visible within the graphs. The solid line is the GFS PredictWind model, and the dotted line the CMC PredictWind model. In this example the models are showing different results for the area high-lighted in grey, but are similar for the rest of the forecast. If both forecasts are showing the same results you can have a high degree of confidence in the forecast. If the forecasts are different, we recommend that you choose the model that is best matching the wind observations. ![]() In addition you can view both models in the Maps, and Forecast Table. |
