Byte CII World Championship 2009
Team Singapore dominated the Byte World Championships, taking out the top three places in convincing style. The winner Darren Choy actually didn't even win one race but his consistency put him in front with a comfortable margin by the end of the regatta.
In spite of the changing wind Choy was able to maintain consistent finishes, placing in the top 3 for 9 of his 12 races. The first female, Najwa Jumali also had a consistent regatta coming in 5th overall. Jumali, also from Singapore battled away and had solid finishes even in the strong winds, including an outstanding performance on the strongest day with 22 knot winds. Predict Wind was a proud sponsor, and would like to congratulate the winners and those who gained eligibility for the 2010 Youth Olympic games. Well done! |
