Team Singapore dominated the Byte World Championships, taking out the top three places in convincing style. The winner Darren Choy actually didn't even win one race but his consistency put him in front with a comfortable margin by the end of the regatta.

The Laser World Championships began on the 20th of August and already the weather has played a huge part. The first day had perfect sailing conditions, but the second day had very shifty light winds. The day was reduced to just 1 race for each fleet and numerous recalls for sailors crossing the line early, resulting in 20 sailors being black flagged.

Sponsored Events - Hobie European Championships 2009 - Lake Como, Italy

The Hobie Europeans Championships kicked off on Lake Como on August 1st. With 270 competitors and 7 classes it's the biggest Hobie event of the 2009 calender.

Each sailor was given access to the Professional Predict Wind forecasts for the duration of the regatta. No doubt they helped navigate the changing winds!

Howth Yacht Club played host to the inaugural Dublin Match Racing Open on 25th & 26th July. Eleven teams from around Ireland and one from the US enjoyed testing conditions with winds ranging from 10 to 25kts.

The 49er Worlds in Lake Garda, Italy were once again a great success. PredictWind was proud to be a part of the event, giving the competitors access to forecasts for the duration of the regatta. Great winds and a stunning backdrop meant this years Worlds were something special.
