DataHub

DataHub is an onboard marine gateway that connects a vessel’s NMEA instrument network, GPS and internet sources to PredictWind services. It gathers data such as position, wind, speed, heading and depth, then shares it for tracking, forecasts, routing and performance analysis while aboard.

For coastal or offshore passages, DataHub helps crew monitor progress, share a live track ashore, and compare conditions on deck with forecasts. It can support GPS Tracking, integrate nearby vessel information from AIS, and provide cleaner inputs for Weather Routing, improving safety margins, arrival estimates and sail or fuel planning.

Within PredictWind, DataHub works naturally with the Offshore App and onboard internet such as satellite or marina Wi-Fi to move compact weather data efficiently at sea. Logged sailing data can also help build an AI Polar, giving sailors a boat-specific performance model for more realistic routing.
