About Awis Guesthouse and Marina

The Awis Guesthouse and Marina was formerly known as Ostrom's Lodge and Marina. In the Huu-ay-aht First Nation language, this would be spelled ?awis, which means ‘always water there’ or ‘pool on the beach.’ It is a reference to the location of the guest house near what is known today as Ostrom’s Creek.
