About Catchacoma Marina
For more than 60 years, Baldwin Bay has been the launching point for water-access cottages on the Catchacoma-Mississauga chain of lakes. Today, Catchacoma Marina has built on that tradition, providing marina services and more to cottagers and visitors on the Catchacoma system, throughout the Kawartha Highlands and beyond. Catchacoma Marina traces its history back to Crawford's and Manley's Landing, the modest facilities that served area cottagers in the late 1940s, '50s and '60s. In 1977, Bob and Bernadette Plug purchased the property, moved their family here and renamed the business Baldwin Bay Marina. When it became apparent that the Plugs were no longer going to run the marina, a group of about 70 cottagers purchased the then for-profit corporation and incorporated it into a Not-for-Profit business in June 2012. The day-to-day running of the marina is the responsibility of our General Manager. From its humble beginnings as a tiny store, shop and gas shack, Catchacoma Marina has expanded into a full-service marina, boat repair facility and store. We offer a wide range of services, including convenience store shopping, vehicle parking and boat docking, gasoline sales, boat repairs, off-season boat storage. Our property boasts 72 boat slips, a three-bay repair shop, covered storage facilities for over 170 boats and more than 3000 sq. ft. of store and showroom.
