About Mjels Vig

The street with private buoys ends just before the port. After the last couple of buoys, head towards the head of the first jetty. The free spaces are marked with green signs. Here you lie safe and secure in an idyllic setting. A guest house and barbecue area are available, and the little ones will enjoy it here too. The port captain takes care of the scrolls and other little things. There is a nearby bus stop for excursions in the wider area.

Aarø is one of those islands that people usually just pass close by when sailing through the Little Belt. But it is a lovely island, so we dearly recommend making a stop. The well-protected harbour, which has room for 78 visiting vessels, is teeming with life. The tourist boat Helene and the ferry from Aarøsund shuttle back and forth. Fishing cutters puff their way into the harbour, and you can purchase fish over the gunwale. Enjoy the beautiful blue cutters and trawls, they are a rare sight in Danish harbours these days. The harbour kiosk is located at the harbour; here you can get an easy meal, including pan-fried fish. Don’t forget to order breakfast rolls. Both the harbour kiosk and the campsite sell groceries.

Our marina has everything there is to offer in terms of modern amenities. For children, we have a large landscaped playground equipped with play equipment from the renowned Danish manufacturer Kompan. For the little ones, we have arranged 2 small sandboxes. The entire playground is arranged on a sand blanket so that the little ones are not harmed. In addition to that, we have two llamas walking in some of our green areas. It is pure comfort. 100 berths, Water depth: approx. 1.35 m - at the bridges from 0.4 to 1.2 m. (However, very soft bottom) In a storm from the NW approx. 1.0 m low tide. Access to electricity, fresh water, toilet/bath. Kalvø Bådelaug v/Formand Uffe Steffensen

Super nice little port with a free shower and good Wi-Fi, bikes are free to borrow and the toilets and shower are clean. The port can be called at day and night in clear and visible weather. Shortly before the harbor there is a red pole (Stern mark) with signs for max. speed (3 knots) and game reserve. Genner bay and the harbor are not lit by lighthouses, but there is light on the harbor square. Bottom nets and other fishing gear are present. There is electricity and water on the bridges. On land, there is a barbecue set up, and you can relax in our guest room or wash and dry your clothes.

PORT OF AUGUSTENBORG

Augustenborg Harbour is located close to the city centre. Augustenborg Harbor is the longship quay that runs from the main road to the marina, on the side in front of the large silos. The harbor is ideal for vessels looking for longship berths close to the center with cozy shops, bakery, delicatessen and convenience stores. From the harbor there are short distances to Augustenborg Castle and Castle Church, which are definitely worth a visit. During the summer and autumn holidays, tours are organized at Augustenborg Castle. In the Castle Park you can enjoy the beautiful sculptures in the Augustiana Sculpture Park.
