(Old Inner Harbour of Emden) Access and Infrastructure Boats can access the harbor via the: Nesserlander Lock (since 1888; 170 m long, 18 m wide – used by sports and inland vessels) or the Large Sea Lock (since 1913; 260 m × 40 m – for larger ships). The harbor now serves mainly pleasure boats, with around 250 berths for yachts and small vessels. Berth amenities include: Water and electricity Waste disposal Toilets and showers Mooring fees: approx. €0.80/meter per night Harbor office & services are available near the berths. Often used by transient boaters due to its direct connection to the city center. What to See and Do Harbor Promenade: Great for walking, relaxing, and watching the boats. Historic captain’s houses line the docks – now used as private homes, cafés, and offices. Maritime museum ships: Feuerschiff Amrumbank (a historic lightship) Rescue cruiser Georg Breusing Restaurants and cafés along the waterfront offer local cuisine and views.
