W.V. De Merwede

WV De Merwede is located in Gorinchem, one of the most beautiful fortified towns in the Netherlands, where Linge and the Merwede Canal meet the De Merwede River. Due to its location at this waterway junction, our port is a popular spot for many. The association has approximately 360 members and its objective is the practice and promotion of water sports. We do it by organizing sailing classes, sailing and rowing competitions, courses and conferences. Various activities are also organized during the winter period (Sinterklaas party, fishing contests, theme parties, etc.). The port has approximately 200 permanent berths and several additional berths to allow transients to enjoy our hospitality. In our clubhouse, you can enjoy a delicious dinner or a cosy snack and/or drink at the bar.
