About South Miami-Dade Marina
Wet storage, when available, is for sailboats up to 35 feet or so in length and 4 feet of draft. Dry storage is available for sailboats up to 27 feet in length with up to a 3-foot draft, on your trailer. Manatee Bay and Barnes Sound are both ideal for day sailing. For inland cruising the inter-coastal waterway is nearby. The ocean can be reached through Angelfish Creek Electric service, at 15 amps, and wash-down water (not suggested for drinking) are available dockside. A limited number of metered 30-amp outlets are also available. Liveaboards are not permitted. A series of marked kayak/canoe trails start at South Dade Marina. These trails are through shallow, pristine creeks and lakes, as well as Manatee Bay and Short Key. Paddlers may launch their kayaks or canoes, or rent them from the marina. If interested in using the facilities at South Dade Marina, please read the links above. The marina can be reached at 305-247-8730.
