Samalot Marine has been serving the sailing community on the Hudson River for 25 years. Samalot can do any upgrades, repairs, or service for your sailboat. Samalot Marine has been servicing the boating community on the Hudson River for three decades. It truly is a family owned and run business. Barbara and George Samalot and their two labs run the business and are always on hand to answer the phone or chat with customers at the store to find the right solution. Located in Haverstraw Marina Samalot Marine has their own service docks, 65-foot crane and workshop on the marina premises. They also have access to the marina's 38-ton travel lift. With this they are able to service the biggest and smallest yachts on the river as well as transients heading north or south. Barbara and George have been sailing together for 35 years currently aboard their Laser 28 Comet. George began his carreer as a sailmaker in City Island with Ulmer Sails and later for Horizon Sailmakers. He taught sailing for Steve Colgate in Tortola and Captiva Island and has sailed in many prestigious races, most notably The Admiral's Cup in 1987.
