Sunset Bay State Marine Park KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: Cattaraugus Creek is running very shallow this season - the main channel in front of the park is only 5.5 feet Sunset Bay State Marine Park is located on Cattaraugus Creek near the river's mouth with easy access onto Lake Erie. The park has modest accommodations for boaters, picnickers and anglers. The site has been designed to be wheelchair accessible. The park is also within easy walking distance to the Town of Hanover Beach on Lake Erie for swimming during the summer months. Absolutely no overnight camping in the parking lot is permitted.
