MARINA Marina Vitrenjak (Uskok)

MARINA Marina Vitrenjak (Uskok) Marina Vitrenjak, or sometimes referred to as Marina Uskok, is located in Zadar, the oldest town in Croatia, which lies in the central part of the Adriatic Coast of Croatia, in North Dalmatia. Zadar is approximately 160 km north of Split and 290 km south of Rijeka, and together with Dubrovnik constitutes Croatia’s four major harbours. It is also one of the most popular tourist destinations in Croatia. Situated half a mile north of the Zadar harbour, and 400 m S of Marina Borik, Marina Vitrenjak provides an excellent shelter from all winds. It is located approximately 3 km, or 15-minute walk, from the town centre. The marina is run by Uskok sailing club. Many local professional sailors gather and moor their boats here. Visiting yachts are welcome if there is available space. The marina is open all year round. The busiest time of the season is in July and August when the marina is often fully booked. Marina Vitrenjak has seven concrete piers with 505 wet berths and 50 dry berths, all of which are equipped with water and electricity. It can accommodate boats and yachts up to 20 m in length. Sea depth in the marina ranges from 1.5 m at the foot of the piers to 4 m at the head. Depth at the entrance of the marina is 12 m.

ACI Marina Šimuni

ACI Marina Šimuni is situated in the west of Pag Island, in the Maun Channel. It can perhaps be considered to be the north entrance to Dalmatia, as it is the last marina in the Kvarner archipelago. Pag’s seemingly inhospitable landscape offers a different picture to what is usually seen elsewhere in the Adriatic islands – the colours are different here, the rocks’ structure is more peculiar, and the sun shines almost all the year round. A keen-eyed visitor will discover a veritable treasure-trove of history, culture, and food, as well as all the little things which the hard-working islanders toiled to create in order to survive in a unique environment – and to make it comfortable to live in. Approach In daytime a chapel to the southeast of the village serves as a landmark, and during the night the approach is marked by a green lighthouse on the southern tip of the entrance (Fl G 3s 7m 3M). The exact position of the lighthouse is 44°27.8’ N 14°57.5’ E. After passing the lighthouse, keep to the middle of the channel until the marina is sighted. There is a shoal on the western side of the entrance to the marina, and therefore the middle of the bay should be kept to when entering it. PORT marina Zverinac

Zverinac is a small island in the Zadar Archipelago, situated a mile from the NE coast of Dugi Otok Island, and almost two miles W of Sestrunj Island. The only settlement on the island is the village of Zverinac, situated on the W coast of the island, opposite the village of Božava on the island of Dugi Otok. Zverinac is an interesting destination to boaters for its secluded location and beautiful surroundings. The harbour of Zverinac offers good shelter from all winds but is exposed to strong and dangerous S winds (jugo). Zverinac Port has four jetties (32, 42, 60 and 28 metres long) where visiting yachts can moor. The berths on the inside part of the jetties offer some protection from the S winds (if they are not too strong). The northernmost of the three jetties, where the water is 8 m deep, has laid moorings for 6-8 yachts. Water and electricity and laid moorings are provided only on some jetties. There is a shop and a restaurant in the village of Zverinac. Other facilities such as an ambulance, post office, seasonal port of entry, small farmer’s market, few shops and restaurants are available in the nearby town of Božava on Dugi Otok (2 nm). The nearest fuel station is in Preko on Ugljan Island, approximately 17 nm from Zverinac. The nearest general hospital and airport is in Zadar. Zverinac is connected to other nearby islands and the mainland by ferry from Zadar. It takes about 2 and a half hours from Zadar to Zverinac.

Luka Brgulje

Brgulje lies around two miles NW of Molat Town and half a mile inland from a tiny harbour and mooring buoy field sheltered from W by the small island of Bruglje Otok. The harbour is too shallow for yachts, but the municipality has laid 17 mooring lines on the outside of the N breakwater for visiting yachts. Depths here are barely 2.0 metres, so it is best to go bows-to if using these. There is water and electricity on the breakwater, and toilets and showers are available. Alternatively, pick up one of the 92 mooring buoys that have been installed between the harbour and the island of Brgulje Otok in depths of 4.0 - 6.0 metres. There are no facilities on the buoys, although refuse is collected. Charges on the mooring lines (November 2012) are Euros 2.2 per metre including water, electricity, toilets and showers and on the buoys Euros 1.91 per metre including refuse collection. Shelter here is good in all but S winds. The port of Brgulje covers 15,496 m2, of which the land area is 2,194 m2, and the sea area is 13,302 m2. The port of Brgulje has an operational part of the port which consists of an operational pier with a plateau 48 m long. The port of Brgulje has a nautical part of the port located on the outside of the pier, 63 m long. The rest of the port of Brgulje is intended for communal communication.

Sveti Andrija Marina

Sveti Andrija is an island lying on the open sea, surrounded by great depths and a clean and clear sea. Dives into the clear blue depths off “the Saint”, as the locals call this island, is an unforgettable experience. Artificial lighting is not necessary as sunlight penetrates into the depths. It lies 9 nm northwest of Komiža on Vis and its untouched beauty is the fibre of many a legend. One of them claims that it is an island with the most underwater caves and passages, the realm of the Mediterranean monk seal, one of the true inhabitants and mistresses of this underwater world. The cave is on the south side of the island, near the mooring. Diving tips Larger vessels can enter the cave’s hall in search of refuge from oncoming storms. At 6 m there is a 15 m tunnel leading to a sunken cave measuring 50 m in length, which has an exit zone at its furthest end. A ray of light indicates the exit zone. Marine life Sponge crabs and squat lobsters are found at the entrance zone; in deeper crevices various types of shrimp, notably the antennae shrimp and helmet shell. Life forms in the cave and hall are scarce.

The port of Banj is located on the northeast side of the island of Pašman, not far from the Mali Žrelac crossing, between the islands of Pašman and Ugljan. The port is intended primarily for municipal berths, and the 33 m pier in the northwest is the operational coast, where you can land sideways by boat. There is space for 4-5 vessels. The port is protected from all winds, only the bora and the strong southeast wind bring waves to the port. If you do not find space in the port, you can anchor in front of the port at depths between 2 and 8 m. The bottom is sandy, partly covered with mud and seagrass.

The port of Sukošan covers 46,867 m 2, of which the land area is 3,819 m 2, and the sea area is 43,048 m 2. The port of Sukosan has an operational part of the port located on a pier 25 m long. The port of Sukošan is on the southern side of the bay, where one of the largest marinas on the Adriatic, the marina Dalmacija, is located. The port is well protected from all but westerly winds. The boat can be moored to a 100 m long pier. The depths of the sea are 2.5 m at the head of the pier and fall to 1 m in the southern part. Most berths are occupied by local vessels (municipal berth), and over 10 are available for transit traffic. We enter the port from the west or northwest. There are no specialties when sailing from the northwest, but when sailing from the west we must pay attention to the shallows on Cape Podvara. If you do not find a free berth in the port, you can anchor northeast or west of the port at depths between 2 and 5. Southwest of the port are the remains of an old fortress. The depth of the sea south of the fort is below 1 m, and in other directions from 2-3 m, and they are suitable for anchoring. There is sand at the bottom and the anchor holds up well. The nearest petrol station is in the marina Dalmacija, which is only 0.7 nmi north of the port. There are many inns, shops and bars nearby.

The port of Rava Velika / Marinica covers 30,889 m 2, of which the land area is 4,039 m 2, and the sea area is 26,850 m 2. The port of Rava Velika / Marinica has an operational part of the port, which consists of an operational coast with a plateau 58 m long. The port of Rava Velika / Marinica has a nautical part of the port located on the outside of the 37 m long pier. The rest of the port of Rava Velika / Marinica is intended for communal communication. The port of Vela Rava is on the west side of the island of Rava. It is well protected from north and east winds, and is partially protected from the west by the island of Dugi otok. Southerly winds cause waves in the harbor. In the port we can land sideways along the pier where the regular line connecting the island with the mainland also lands. On the north-eastern pier, moorings are available for mooring, and in the north-western pier, floats are available to moor fodder to the shore. There is a restaurant and shop in the port, which is open from 07:00 to 11:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00.

Luka Rava Mala / Lokvina

The port of Rava mala / Lokvina covers 31,049 m 2, of which the land area is 4,259 m 2, and the sea area is 26,790 m 2. The port of Rava mala / Lokvina has an operational part of the port, which consists of an operational coast with a 78 m long plateau. The port of Rava mala / Lokvina has a nautical part of the port which consists of a coast with a 90 m long pier. The rest of the port of Rava mala / Lokvina is intended for communal connection. The port of Mala Rava is located in the Lokvina bay on the north-western side of the island of Rava. The vessel can be moored to one of the 17 buoys or laterally to the concrete shore in the eastern part of the port. When mooring at one of the 10 buoys in the northern part of the port, it is necessary to moor the stern of the vessel with a rope to shore. The rope is already installed on the buoy. On the 5th fight in the middle of the port we tie only the bow of the vessel. A new ferry pier has also been built in the port. The ferry docks at the head of the pier. The vessel can land sideways along the fortified shore where the cleats are located. The water depth at the ferry pier is three meters, but it falls towards the north of the bay, where the depth is only one meter deep. The port is protected from all winds, with the exception of the south, which causes waves in the port. The anchorage equipped with buoys has been granted a concession. The berth is charged by the concessionaire. Mooring on the shore is charged by the Harbor Master's Office. The price of mooring to the shore is 20 HRK / m / day for vessels up to 12 m long and 25 HRK / m / day for vessels longer than 12 m. The port Mala Rava is in the north of the island Rava, between the islands of Dugi Otok and Iž. Yachts lay north of the ferry landing on the quay at water depths of up to 1 meter. In places, there is a lower water depth. The harbor is protected from all winds except for S and SW. Facing the harbor, at the western shore of the bay, yachts can moor at buoys in addition to landlines.

Marina Knež

The port of Iž mali / Knež has an operational part of the port 15 m long. Marina Knež is located on the east coast of the island of Iž between Veliki and Mali Iž. It is a small port with space for 15 vessels that can be moored. The small island village, which is never crowded with tourists, has an inn and bar, and the port also offers water and electricity. If you can't find a mooring in the port, you can also anchor in front of the port at a depth of 5 m, or in the lee of the island of Knežak, opposite the Knež marina, where there is an anchorage with 15 buoys and protection from the bora.
