Kipparilahti Boat Club KVK ry, located in Herttoniemi, Helsinki, started operations in 1969. At that time, the city built a marina with piers at the bottom of Kipparlahti. By then, the port was considered one of the best in Helsinki. The piers are fixed concrete piers with space for 130 boats and the club has managed the port since its inception.
