About Golconda Marina
The largest man-made pool begins at Uniontwn Kentucky and stretches 72 miles to Smithland Lock and Dam. Golconda Marina is known as the Gateway to Smithland Pool. Remain in the center of the entry lane, which is indicated by a green light and a tall flag. The bottom is extremely soft silt, however depths will drop rapidly to about 5.4 feet. The small entrance leads to a pedestrian bridge that is clearly visible crossing the creek 100 yards upriver.
