Commonly referred to as Yachthafen Baalmann, Port Henry, or generically Yachthafen Borkum Yachthafen Borkum is a well-equipped, sheltered marina suitable for leisure sailors, offering solid services, easy transport links, and a charming on-site restaurant with harbour views. Just keep an eye on water depths and local traffic when planning entry during tidal changes. South of the illuminated three-legged beacon, enter the Fischerbalje, with breakwater protection to the north Strong ferry traffic is common—navigate with caution Tidal streams and onshore winds (especially SW) may cause challenges; best to avoid entry during strong SW winds or at night Depth & Tidal Info Harbour depth ranges from 1.8 m below MLLW (Mean Lower Low Water) o 2.3 m at low tide after dredging in 2022 Chart-datum depths are conservative; add tide height for safe passage Mooring & Marina Facilities Offers approx. 250 berths across four main floating piers (length totaling ~300 m) – Pier I for >10 m boats, Pier II for 7–10 m, Pier III for boats under 7 m & Pier IV for long-term moorings . Nearby Alternative Harbours Burkana Hafen: Operated by the local yachting club (WSVB). Similar access channel; robust facilities including diesel, water, showers, and a café. Limited guest berths Also nearby: main commercial protection harbour, used by workboats and the Feuerschiff museum . Safety & Nautical Tips Plan passages around tides—especially in shallow channels. Chart-datum depths are conservative; consider tide tables for safe clearance Use VHF Channel 17 (“Borkum Burkana Port Radio”) for contact Entering via the Seegaten Westerems or Hubertgat is standard; night entries or fresh/storm winds are risky
