Harbour Quay Marina is the newest of the Port Authority's recreational boating facilities. Phone : 250-723-1413 E-mail: habourquay@alberniport.ca Our docks at Harbour Quay Marina are within walking distance to the heart of Port Alberni’s beautiful waterfront tourism hospitality and community gathering place; Harbour Quay. Harbour Quay is famous for its panoramic vistas, shops, galleries, Alberni Aquarium & Stewardship Centre, dining, Lady Rose Marine Services and the Alberni Pacific Railway. Located in downtown Port Alberni on Harbour Road adjacent to the Port Authority Terminals, this recreational marina features 15 individual berths for moorage and more than 2,000 lineal feet of side-tie moorage. All berths have access to potable water and electrical. We strongly recommended reservations for moorage; over-night parking is available (rates). Other amenities include a public reception facility, public washrooms, showers and laundry facilities, and a security access system. Fuel is available at our nearby Tyee Landing Pier and a Sani-dump station is available at Fishermen’s Harbour. The Harbour Quay Marina is alongside the lighthouse pier locally recognized by its distinctive replica West Coast Lighthouse, which is home to the Maritime Heritage Discovery Centre and Hutchison Gallery operated by the Maritime Heritage Society. The Alberni Harbour and its predictable summer inflow winds have become increasingly popular for kite boarders. Two large breakwaters that shelter the marina also provide a launch point for those participating in the sport and for the community to watch the excitement. Step back in time and visit this local attraction along the Port Alberni waterfront, which highlights the diverse history and modern mixed uses of the community’s harbour. In partnership with the Maritime Heritage Society, we host numerous events including Canadian Navy vessel visits and our annual Port Day. Applications INSURANCE REQUIRED : The Port Alberni Port Authority requires proof of vessel insurance with a minimum liability coverage of $2 000 000 limit and includes a 30 day notice of cancellation. This is mandatory in order to berth in Port Alberni Port Authority Marinas.
