Jachthaven de Leeuwenbrug (Marina De Leeuwenbrug)

Marina in Friesland
Watersportcentrum De Leeuwenbrug BV owns the Noorderhaven and Zuiderhaven harbors in the center of Harlingen. These harbors have a capacity of approximately 100 passing vessels and 92 permanent berths. Both harbors are tidal; the Noorderhaven is suitable for vessels with a draft of up to 2.20m, while the Zuiderhaven is for larger vessels with deeper drafts. At tides above 1.10m, the high-water gates close. The closure period is approximately one hour before to one hour after high tide, depending on the wind (onshore wind = backwater). When the high-water gates are closed, you cannot enter or leave the harbor. Harbor master Richard van Stekelenburg Mobile: +31(0)6-53846734 (You cannot reserve a berth with us) Address: Noorderhaven 34, 8861 AN Harlingen E-mail: havenmeester@jachthavenleeuwenbrug.nl Please note: During the winter period the harbour office has limited opening hours. Total capacity: around 100 visitor berths and 92 permanent moorings Both basins are tidal harbours. Noorderhaven: suitable for draughts up to 2.20 m. Zuiderhaven: for deeper-keel vessels (no fixed maximum specified) High-water floodgates close when water level exceeds NAP +1.10 m (typically about 1 hour before to 1 hour after high tide), prohibiting entry or exit during that time Best Practices & Considerations Plan entry around tide: Avoid arrival within ~1 hour of high tide due to gate closures. Check limits: If you exceed 2.20 m draught, Zuiderhaven may be better—but inquire in advance. Winter season caution: Drinking water and sanitising facilities may be reduced. Central convenience: Walking distance to supermarkets, cafés, train station. No reservation policy: Arrive early to secure a visitor berth, especially in summer. Phone: +31(0)117-851587 (only for administrative questions, NO RESERVATIONS!)
