Boca Chita Key - Biscayne National Park

Boca Chita Key is home to an iconic and historic lighthouse, constructed by Mark Honeywell in the 1930s, which guides boats towards the beauty and wonders of the park. As the most visited island in the park, Boca Chita offers a unique and serene camping experience. Amenities and Regulations Trash Disposal: Please remove all trash. Facilities: There is no potable water, electricity, shops, or showers. Public bathrooms are available. Fees: Fees are required year-round and must be paid using the Scan & Pay feature on your mobile phone via the free Recreation.gov app. Camping: Campsites are available. Docking Information Docking is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and reservations are not accepted. Docking fees must be paid via the Recreation.gov app. The slatted bulkhead is the only area for boat docking, and boats cannot dock more than two deep. Pets are not allowed on the island or in the harbor boats, except for service animals. Navigation The entrance to the harbour during low tide measures approximately four feet. Vessels with a deep draft should exercise caution.
