About Wailoa Sampan Basin Harbor
The Wailoa Sampan Basin Harbor can be found on Highway 19, situated between Hilo Harbor and Downtown Hilo. It is located at the bridge over the Wailoa River. Wailoa Harbor is home to the Suisan Fish Market, which can be found on the water. The Hilo Bay Café is situated next door, across from the stunning Queen Lili'uokalani Botanical Garden. The harbor offers 50 moorings for boats, along with 2 boat ramps and a vessel washdown area. There is also a comfort station and restroom facilities available. Don't forget to check out the Suisan Fish Market while you're there! Sailboat access is limited to dock area near Suisan Market before the bridge. Space is limited to 3 or 4 boats, approx 40ft length, 7ft draft. $10/person/day plus 16$/vessel/day. Water only on this side of the bridge. Access only at high tide for sailing vessels.
