About Aspasia Marina
It is primarily seasonal slip rentals, but vacant slips are made available to transients and short term renters. Rates have always been the lowest in the area. The operation is very casual, no radio monitoring, office attended only during business hours. Boats have tied up for weeks without being noticed. The free sewage pump out is one of the Portland waterfronts best kept secrets. The site is an old shipyard with a huge derelict railway that should be on the register of historic places. A northeast wind drives right into this marina over a long fetch, so it is not a place to leave a boat unattended on one of the outer docks. The inside slips are well protected, however. The innermost slips almost dry out at low tide, so check before accepting one if your boat does not ground out gracefully
