Arrival at the marina There may be a westerly current in the Lower Rhine, depending on the position of the dam opening at Driel. This must be taken into account when entering the Rijnhaven Canal. The entrance to the marina is generally not affected by electricity. With a strong easterly or south-easterly wind (>4 Beaufort), entry into the harbour can be difficult for less experienced skippers, but generally there are few or no problems entering the marina. The port itself is protected by trees from winds from all directions except the southeast. The reporting dock is located on the port side after entering the rowing department. The reporting pier is indicated by a large sign on the roof of the port office. If there is a need for a longitudinal jetty due to the limited mobility of one or more people on board, it is recommended to call ahead. The harbourmaster (0317 41 45 57 and VHF channel 31) will do his best to ensure that help is present at the quay upon arrival. However, a longitudinal spring cannot always be guaranteed. The members present will be happy to help with the installation. All jetties have a marked letter and moorings are marked with a number on the edge of the jetty. The boxes are always designed for two ships so that each ship always has a finger next to it. The mooring lines are fixed to the jetty using bollards and rings on the jetties. There are enough electricity points on the pontoons for passers-by, but it is advisable to have a 30m extension cable.
