About Puerto Barranqueras Chaco
The Barranqueras Storage and Shipping Center, a name that replaces the former National Grain Board, is part of the Barranqueras port complex, with a storage capacity of 100,000 tons and a rate that allows the loading and unloading of 150,000 tons of cereals, which represents 1,800,000 tons per year, that is, half of the agricultural production of the Province. The former National Grain Board, ceded by the national government to the Province, is in full operation, and it is the Compania Logística del Norte (COLONO) who is in charge of the administration of the complex. This commercial company was created at the initiative of the Provincial State, with the participation of businessmen, local cooperatives and investors from the capital market, and is intended to operate in the agricultural markets of the Province and areas of influence.
