We look forward to serving you. Dovercraft marine was established in 1977 by John VanHalteren. He started his career as a commercial diver servicing underwater gas wells for gas and oil back in the late 1960s and 1970's. John then switched into the boat building business and eventually developed an 80 slip marina on Black Creek in Port Dover, Ontario. John VanHalteren Jr is now the owner/operator of Dovercraft Marine Ltd. He has grown up in the business by learning from his father. He has been operating the marina, sales and brokerage since 2001.
