About Hale‘iwa Boat Harbor
The area of Waialua Bay at Hale‘iwa is defined by lines drawn 100 yards parallel to the Hale‘iwa Harbor Breakwater and 100 yards parallel to the Hale‘iwa Beach Groin. Inland, the area is bounded by a line ten yards downstream and parallel to the Anahulu Bridge. Fishing in this area is allowed with one line or one rod and line, with no more than two hooks, for any legal size fish in season. Crabs can be caught using not more than 10 nets, provided they are not more than two feet in diameter. Shrimp can be caught for bait with a hand net, provided that the net is not more than three feet in any dimension. Commercial marine licensees with a Bait License can take nehu, iao, and other authorized baitfish for bait purposes. Licensed pond owners or operators can take young mullet (pua) or other small fish for stocking their fishpond. Fishing in this area for any other aquatic life is prohibited. The facilities available at this location include 64 berths, a fish hoist, 26 moorings, public parking, dryland storage, 2 loading docks, vessel washdown, temporary moorings, 3 boat ramps, restrooms, sailing cruises, sportfishing, diving charters, and shark encounters.
