The introduction of the wave modelling feature in our weather routing system has gained significant popularity and become a critical tool for planning safe passages and avoiding or preparing for adverse conditions while underway. We have responded to the demand for this feature by expanding our boat modelling parameters to include Power Catamarans and Sailing Trimarans. This expansion ensures that every commonly utilized recreational vessel type is now compatible with Wave Routing.

Wave routing assesses how various wave states will impact your vessel along the optimal weather route. By analyzing both the weather forecasts and all forecast wave variables for a given passage, we can determine if the conditions will be rough or hazardous. Different vessels react uniquely to different sea states; therefore, modelling your boat accurately depicts the anticipated conditions.

We analyze five distinct wave states, each capable of influencing your vessel's motion differently.

For every passage you plan, the 3D model of your vessel is utilized alongside the specified wave parameters. The resulting outputs consist of Roll, Vertical Acceleration, and Boat Slamming.

Utilizing the Departure Planning and Weather Routing Tools to circumvent conditions associated with heightened levels of Roll, Vertical Acceleration, and Boat Slamming significantly enhances safety during any passage.
