About Port of Beni Saf
35º 17' 60'' N, -1º -22' -59'' W UN/LOCODE: DZBSF Fishing, commercial and pleasure port. Location: Beni Saf is situated in a bay to the W of Oran, and lies on the Mediterranean Sea coast between Cape Falcon and Cape l’Eau. Beni Saf is an artificial harbour protected by two breakwaters, the port has a water area of 18ha. A shipping port for iron ore also considered the most active fishing port on the Algerian coast. The port consists of 2 jetties: - West Quay of 10m. length -Commerce Quay of 55m. length Max size: LOA 110m, draught 6.0m. Channel 26 - 30 feet 7.1 - 9.1 meters The port entry is considered difficult during N or NW winds.
