Marina Berths The RVMYC have some marina berths available for allocation. If you are interested and would like further information regarding sizes, contact the RVMYC. RVMYC - a progressive club based on traditional values Our position across the bay from Port Melbourne, has commanding views of the city skyline. The boating calendar kicks off in October with an Opening Day, where members unite to begin the festivities. The event commences with formalities which include the Commodore’s address and the official opening. Past openings have included State Premiers and Senior Naval Personnel. Following formalities, members and guests take to their boats for the traditional sail past and blessing, an ancient tradition, to discourage bad weather and ill seas for the year. Our facilities are continually improving, with a new Clubhouse having opened in May 2015. Marina Berths Our 80 berths cater for boats up to 18 metres (60 feet) and offer permanent, casual and visitor accommodation. All berths have access to water and shore power, plus shower and toilet facilities in the clubhouse. We adhere to the Clean Marina Program. Our participation has resulted in outstanding and efficient environmental controls and security. Yard and Hard Stand Excellent yard facilities are available for members' boats requiring maintenance and we have access to a modern travel-lift from Savages Wharf who conduct the slipping and launching of vessels. Hardstand facilities and trailer boat space are both available in the club’s paved yard at moderate rates for members. Waterfront Dining and Venue Facilities RVMYC offers a social experience second to none, for members and friends to enjoy dining in a relaxed atmosphere in convivial surroundings near the water’s edge.

The marina system is a modern Bellingham system with power, water and ample tie off bollards for each and every berth. We can accommodate vessels all the way up to 30m. Unlike so many marinas being built in and around the high-rise apartment towers, Savages Wharf is a working marina with a large 40 tonne Travel Lift and a range of technical support businesses on site. There is no marine service that cannot be completed at Savages Wharf, whether by one of our expert tenants or an approved contractor. At Savages Wharf we take the security of your property seriously. We have a comprehensive video surveillance system, patrol guards, secure on-site parking and security fob access on a 24/7 basis to berth holders. We also like to think that your stay at Savages Wharf will be comfortable and relaxing. Our Savages Wharf Club is an extremely comfortable, exclusive retreat for berth holders. In our private club you have open access to a well-appointed lounge with Foxtel, comfortable lounges and reading material…. a superbly appointed kitchen, spacious, private and clean bathroom facilities and finally a laundry where you can wash and dry your clothes, boating linen and so on. Public jetties available for 4 hour stays between 0800 and 1800 hrs, overnight stay allowed. The entrance to Tambo River can be shallow, about 1.2m at low tide I've experienced but the river itself is deep and wide enough for passing vessels quite easily. Great place to stay overnight especially if conditions in the lakes are poor. Boat ramp, hot showers (between 8am -8pm) and bbq facilities all available. Local shops about a 20 minute walk.
