Located in gorgeous Brentwood Bay, Portside Marina was first opened in 1927 by Harry Gilbert as Gilbert's Boathouse. Saanich Inlet was a premier fishing location and at the age of 13, Harry's son, Jim Gilbert, started guiding and went on to become an acclaimed fishing guide. Canadian Prime Ministers John Diefenbaker and Lester B. Pearson (pictured above, sitting) have fished here.
Today, the inlet is popular for prawning, diving, paddling, The Butchart Gardens summer fireworks, beaches and access to great hiking.

Our secure 114-slip marina is the finest in Sooke (just 35 minutes from Victoria, BC) and can accommodate vessels of various sizes, ranging from small crafts to those of up to 50 feet (15 metres). From the marina, you’ll have easy access to the Strait of Juan de Fuca, where you can fish for trophy salmon and halibut. Marina guests are welcome to use the parking lot at the top of the resort (although no trailers are permitted on-site), and Wi-Fi is available in the lobby and area outside the lobby.

There is 50 feet of wharfage at the visitor's dock, as well as extra moorage available during the summer when member slips are vacant. Beware! There are sticks marking the channel to get to the yacht club. Depths are near 5 feet at low tide. (Note that this is not at zero tide, so depths may be even shallower!)

The Wharf Street floats are located north of the seaplane terminal. This marina offers year-round transient moorage, monthly moorage, and low season moorage from October to May.
Vessels from 20’ to 375’ can be accommodated at Wharf Street. 30 and 50 amp power is available. The facility is gated year-round.

A reservation fee of $65 is required for booking during these long weekends and is non-refundable.
A minimum 2-night stay is required for all long weekend bookings.

Wharf Street & Hyack

The soft sandy bottom will not hurt your boat, but you may be stuck waiting for higher water!
At the lowest tide of the year we still have over 6 feet depth at the fuel dock. 
Our entire facility was completely rebuilt within the past few years. We feature wide stable docks and walk ways. There is 15 amp hydro and water installed at every slip for your convenience.  You will need a standard 30 amp marine twist lock cord to access hydro. Contact the marina office to inquire about available space or if you boat / yacht has larger power requirements.  We have staff on-site to help.
Goldstream Boathouse is a full service marina and is the home of Victoria General Marine, a full service repair facility.

Becher Bay Marina Ltd

The Sooke Harbour Authority is a local, non-profit organization with a volunteer board of directors. It operates and manages the Government Wharf in the Sooke harbour as a public facility with a priority to support the needs of the commercial fishing industry. Excess capacity is used to support local pleasure boaters and boaters visiting the Sooke Harbour.

Office hours are 9 AM to Noon, Monday to Friday (closed statutory holidays). If the Wharfinger is not on duty, please use the self registration envelopes found in the case to the left of the office door. Sorry, we cannot take reservations.

Your moorage fees are gratefully received and are required for our continuing operation. Payment by cash, cheque or Interac e-Transfer.

All vessel operators must Report to the Wharfinger or Self Register upon entry to this facility. Thank you and enjoy your stay in Sooke!

Sunny Shores Resort & Marina Ltd

Ganges Centennial Harbour is the largest of the Harbour Authority facilities. This facility is primarily used by fishing, commercial, and recreational vessels whose homeport is Ganges and have permanent mooring contracts. There is no transient tourist traffic throughout the year without prior approval from staff.

The harbour consists of an entrance channel and a protected mooring basin consisting of a main header float and three wing floats, a pedestrian approach trestle, a launching ramp and a parking area. The harbour is protected to the east by a 150m-rubble mound breakwater. Services at this facility include potable water, Wi-Fi, 30-amp shore-power, lighting, garbage disposal, waste oil disposal and shower, washroom facilities and a boat launching ramp.

The harbour is located in waterlot 474, Cowichan District. Access to the floats is from a 10.7m long by 6m wide wharfhead with timber trestle and asphalt surface. The gangway is 11m long and 1.2 m wide and has a rubber non-skid cover over a steel mesh grid. The main header and wing floats are of treated timber, pontoons and a total of 335m in length. These floats are 2.74m wide. The north side of the header float has 8 finger floats, which are 3.7m long and 0.6m wide. The western most side of the west wing float has 7 finger floats, which are 10rn long and l.3m wide
The Harbour Authority of Salt Spring Island is currently responsible for the management of eight facilities on Salt Spring Island.

The harbour is located in waterlot  348, Cowichan District.  Access to the floats is from a 13.8m long by 3m wide wharfhead with timber trestle. The gangway is 11m long and 1.2 m wide and has a rubber non-skid cover over a steel mesh grid.  The gangway lands on the first finger float whose western portion is reserved for the local Water Taxi Company which holds the School Board Contract. There is a main header float 49m long with three finger floats of 48 m in length.  The eastern portion of the first finger float, 10.6 m is available for transient moorage.  This facility is used primarily for daily transient vessels during 1 May – 30 Sep. In the winter season, 1 Oct – 30 Apr, there is some longer term moorage that might be available with a waiting list. Even in the winter, the south side is left open for daily transient moorage.

Services at this facility include potable water, Wi-Fi, 30-amp shore-power plug, lighting, and access to the garbage disposal, waste oil disposal and shower, washroom facilities and a boat launching ramp services at Centennial.
The Harbour Authority of Salt Spring Island is currently responsible for the management of eight facilities on Salt Spring Island.

Ganges Kanaka  Harbour

Located at the head of the Ganges harbour, next to Moby’s pub, the marina offers brand-new docks with both 30 and 50 amp power options. A 7-minute walk from town, our marina has on-site laundry and shower facilities, as well as free Wi-Fi and potable water.

Salt Spring Marina

Located on the North West side of Salt Spring Island, the Vesuvius Bay facility is located immediately to the north of the Vesuvius BC Ferry terminal in waterlot 241, Cowichan District. This float is primarily used by transient boaters and is a popular spot during the summer. Transient rates are posted at the wharfhead and an honor pay box with payment envelopes provided. A wharfinger regularly attends the facility to collect fees from the honor box and to note any maintenance requirements. There are no services available but emergency electrical service can be accessed by contacting the Harbour Office. Night illumination is provided and bus service and parking is available. A licensed restaurant with take-out and a coffee shop are within walking distance.  There are also some short hiking trails starting in the parking lot.

It consists of a set of steps leading to a 36.6m long wooden pedestrian approach trestle, a pedestrian-only access wharfhead which is 3.lm by 6.lm, a gangway which is 11m long and 1.2m wide and a treated wood pontoon float which is 4.3m wide and 12.2m long. There is lighting at this facility.

Vesuvius Bay

Thieves Bay Marina is a private marina. You must be a member of MLPOS and maintain your annual membership. Proof of boat ownership (Vessel registration or declaration of ownership) and boat insurance (minimum of $1,000,000 Protection and Indemnity coverage) is also required. 
Casual moorage rates are also calculated on the length of the berth assigned. Casual moorage is available on a monthly basis for MLPOS members who are coming for a short stay or for those waiting for a permanent slip to become available. Payment options are one time payment or monthly post dated cheques, PayPal payments or e-transfers. All Casual Moorage Applications must be accompanied by proof of valid Protection and Indemnity Marine Liability Insurance in order to be processed. Without this insurance, an application is considered incomplete and your boat will not be allowed in the marina.
The marina facility is located at 48°46'Nº  123°19W on the west side of North Pender Island in the southern Gulf Islands of British Columbia, Canada.  Entrance to the marina is from Swanson Channel.

Those entering the marina are advised to give a wide berth along the west side of the breakwater due to a rock hazard.  Note that there are additional hazards not depicted on the map. Those leaving the marina are advised to make sure the orcas (killer whales) are not passing,  since it is illegal to disturb them.

Ocean Falls Municipal Dock

The Bella Coola Harbour Authority is a non-profit organization that manages the Small Craft Harbour in Bella Coola providing moorage to fishing, recreational and commercial vessels. Fuel, water, showers & laundry are available.

Commercial salmon fishing starts in early June and finishes at the end of August. Recreational fishing and boating usually starts on the May long weekend and finishes in October.

This harbour is home to approximately 40 commercial fishing vessels, approximately 30 Recreational boats and 10 Commercial vessels. These numbers are significantly higher during the summer months.

The Bella Coola Harbour is located at the end of Hwy 20. By sea, we’re located in North Bentinick Arm just beyond the mouth of the Bella Coola River, 3 km west of the town site.

Open year round. The Harbour office is open from 8am to 6pm from June 1 – Sept 30. During the off season, the office is open from 8am to noon, Monday to Saturday. Please contact office staff for more information.

Ladysmith Marina, on the east coast of Vancouver Island, is set in the town of Ladysmith, one hour north of Victoria and ten minutes south of the Nanaimo Airport. All marina customers and guests have access to free parking. We are pleased to offer first access to the newest boathouses on Vancouver Island. These engineered boathouses are available from 50′ – 100′.

Bluenose Marina

Cowichan Bay village is situated in a natural harbour near the mouth of the Cowichan and Koksilah Rivers. The Marina accommodates boats up to 60 feet long. Transient moorage not currently available.
Cowichan Bay is located on the eastern coast of Vancouver Island, adjacent to the Gulf Islands. Global positioning coordinates are 48.7333° N, 123.6167° W. The Village serves as a gateway to one of the world’s premier cruising and sailing areas. By road, the Village is 45 minutes north of Victoria on the Trans Canada Highway. The turn off for the village is clearly sign-posted as a “Scenic Seaside Village” route.
Cowichan Bay Marina accommodates vessels up to 60 feet. The majority of slips are rented on an annual basis, however, slips do become available throughout the year . At this time we cannot accommodate transient moorage. A limited number of live-aboard residents are in the marina. It is difficult to predict vacancies- contact us to check the availability of moorage.

Only a few minutes from the marina is Cowichan Bay waterfront village.  Docks at Fisherman’s wharf are behind a floating breakwater.  The floating breakwater dock is not connected to land.  A dinghy is needed for shore access.  The privately owned marinas are west of the public wharf.  At the other end of town, Hecate Park has a launch ramp with ample trailer storage.

Maple Bay Marina

The Municipality of North Cowichan operates public wharves in Chemainus, Crofton, and Maple Bay. The wharves at Chemainus and Maple Bay are owned by the Municipality. The Crofton wharf is owned by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans and operated under agreement by North Cowichan. The facilities are managed on a day-to-day basis by the wharfinger, with oversight and direction from the Municipality.

Crofton Harbour

As fellow boaters, we want to respect your wishes if you choose to anchor in Telegraph Harbour instead of using our marina docks. However, we kindly ask that you also respect our position. If you do choose to anchor, facilities such as showers, laundry, garbage, water, recreational activities, and wifi are available exclusively for those who pay for moorage.

We welcome anyone to use our restaurant, pub, store, and offer several dinghy docks at no charge. If you plan to leave your dinghy for an extended period to take the ferry to Chemainus, please let the dock attendants know so we can ensure its safety during your absence.

Please keep in mind that the maximum speed when passing by both marinas is 5kts (no wake). This speed will help to prevent damage and discomfort to vessels tied to the docks, as well as the live aboards that we currently have. There are privately-owned moorings throughout the harbour, but it's best to rely on your anchoring gear rather than hooking onto them. Owners may ask you to vacate the mooring if they return, and the anchor used on a mooring could be designed for a small vessel or be in deteriorating condition.

Telegraph Harbour generally has good holding in sand and mud, but the inner harbour can become congested during peak summer times. The area south of Thetis Island Marina has adequate holding and is well-protected from most strong southerly winds. Please avoid anchoring in the north of the marina docks, as it is designated for float plane traffic. Scheduled and unscheduled floatplanes use the area daily, and they have limited maneuverability. Always give them the right-of-way and keep an eye out for them when motoring in the harbour.

Union Steamship Marina & Bowen Island Marina

Stretching along False Creek on either side of the Granville Bridge, our marina has space for approx. 110 boats of varying sizes, and is equipped with party dock areas with BBQ’s, Dinghy, Kayak & SUP Storage & Use, Folkboat Sailing Vessel, laundry and showers, and pumpout facilities. The marina has 30A circuits on the dock, and an onsite wharfinger who may be reached at 604-648-2628.
Boats arrive from all over the Lower Mainland, the Island, and the world to visit the Vancouver area. The False Creek Yacht Club is pleased to offer daily, overnight, and weekly transient arrangements, as available. Outside docks may be able to accommodate longer or wider vessels than the permanent slip sizes noted above, on a temporary basis and at the discretion of the Wharfinger.

FCYC is also part of the worldwide club moorage reciprocal program.

False Creek Yacht Club

The Burrard Civic Marina is located at the entrance to False Creek. It is the largest marina in False Creek with 423 water berths, 162 land storage spaces and 69 canoe, kayak, and paddleboat storage spaces.

RVYC is a private club that welcomes Members of established yacht clubs outside our local waters, as visitors to our Clubhouse and Home Port marina in Point Grey. Your visit may include visits to our restaurant, bar & lounge facilities, and, if convenient, introduction to any Flag Officer on the premises at the time.

If you're planning to visit us, please bring a current membership card from your home club with you. A letter of introduction in advance of your visit would also be greatly appreciated. Upon arrival at the main Clubhouse, reciprocal visitors are asked to check in at the Front Desk. We hope you enjoy your visit with us!

Please note: The Coal Harbour Home Port marina does not have a Clubhouse or administrative services. Vessels need to contact the Harbour Master prior to their arrival at 604.688.4578.
Our current Moorage Policies as listed in the sections below, including the Important Notes section, are applicable to both Coal Harbour and Jericho marinas.

Please check in / register with the Dock Office upon arrival. The Dock Offices at Coal Harbour Marina and Jericho Marina are manned 24 hours a day. Members of staff are always on-site to facilitate check-in. All space is very limited - should your visit be a spur-of-the-moment idea, check-in is especially important as slips appearing to be available may not actually be so.

Both home port marinas at RVYC Jericho as well as RVYC Coal Harbour have been certified with the Green Marine designation. As such, there are environmental safeguards we ask you to respect and observe. Ask any member of marina staff if you are unsure.

Burrard Yacht Club Reciprocal Club Moorage is now open for visitor moorage.  Reciprocal visitors are advised that in light of the lifting of the COVID restrictions we are pleased to open our Visitor Docks.

Reciprocal Dock Rules & Amenities for Visitors to Burrard Yacht Club
Please have on board your current Reciprocal Club membership card, and proof of $2,000,000 Liability Insurance which must be shown at time of registering your vessel.
Rules for Visitors:

Fly your Club burgee at all times.
Foreign vessels to fly a Canadian courtesy flag.
Membership card required from Reciprocal Yacht Club.
Must show proof of $2,000,000.00 Liability Insurance.
7 days maximum stay in one year, first two days free, $1.00 per foot thereafter. (GST included)
Power: 30 amp service, $4.00 per day (including free moorage days). (GST included)
Club keys for gate and Club facilities are available.
All pets must be on a leash
Auxiliary power units only allowed between 0800 and 2200 hours.
No open fires or barbecues on the floats.
Use onboard holding tanks or the Club’s washroom facilities.
Check with the office or Staff Captain if your vessel is to be untended for more than one day.

The Creek Marina welcomes guests to annual, short Term, recreational and commercial boat moorage for vessels up to 160’. Reservations required for short term guest moorage. Check in time is 3:00 pm and check out time is 12:00 pm daily.

As part of western Canada’s larger marine operations, our marina’s aim is to provide you with a facility that is highly responsive to your needs and offers a comprehensive range of value for money marine services in the convenient surroundings located across from Port of Vancouver. Lynnwood Marina and Boat Yard offers side tie open moorage or slips, and covered or boathouse moorage. The Boat Yard operates Marine Travel Lifts from Monday to Friday and the indoor / outdoor facility is available for boat maintenance, with covered boatyard storage for vessels up to 65′.

Moorage is sometimes is available and arranged by first come first served basis. Minimum 30 day stay. No wait list.

Lynnwood Marina & Boatyard

The Thunderbird Marina story begins in 1952 with a small marina opening to service local boaters in Fisherman’s Cove, West Vancouver. With a protected location, stable docks and exemplary service, our business quickly grew, and by 1970 we had over 1000 slips, and acquired Westport Marina on southern Vancouver Island. True to our West Coast roots, we focussed on our local service, and our two marinas developed into British Columbia’s most environmentally advanced boatyards. As our reputation as a marina grew, so did our Thunderbird Yacht Sale brand, which established offices throughout BC to help literally thousands of boaters experience the unparalleled beauty of our BC waters.

Today, Thunderbird Marina has expanded its dock system to also accommodate longer and wider boats, and we will soon begin the same upgrades at Westport to continue the history of service we began here over 65 years ago.

Our unparalleled access to the West Coast waters is something that needs to be seen. Thunderbird is situated in a sheltered bay in West Vancouver, which protects the marina from any weather. Our sheltered location provides a calm, relaxing environment while docked at the marina, and reduces the wear and tear on vessels, and allows for easy maneuvering.

We are located at 49 21'26" N and 123 16'16"W, which is in the well-protected waters of Fisherman's Cove in West Vancouver.

Please note: our guest moorage availability is limited to the berths vacated by our own members during summer vacation months and reciprocity is not extended to outstations.

Shelter Island Marina & Boatyard

CAPTAIN’S COVE MARINA WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1978 IN THE COMMUNITY OF LADNER, IN THE CITY OF DELTA. IT IS NESTLED IN THE DEAS SLOUGH WITH FRESH WATER MOORAGE 9 MILES FROM THE OPEN OCEAN.
The Marina is also situated directly across from Deas Island Provincial Park, a natural estuary, with an abundance of walking trails, picnic areas, wild life, bird watching and numerous other park facilities.

Captain’s Cove Marina offers boaters and moorage tenants numerous amenities on the property and is secured. The Marina sports 350 slips that accommodate boats ranging in sizes from 24′ to 60′ with 30 & 50 amp power available. Captain’s Cove has a 60 ton travel lift for haul outs and a secured work yard area to allow our customers the ability to work on their vessels.

The Marina is also next door neighbor to the executive golf course, The Links at Hampton Cove. One round through the challenging nine hole course will leave you with a greater appreciation for the layout and design of a tough executive golf course. Whether you’re a beginner, pro or ranking amateur, Cove Links is the best course to test your skills.

Prices for Marina Moorage (Effective March 31st, 2019)
Annual Moorage: $8 per foot per month
Semi-Annual Moorage: $9.10 per foot per month
Upon contract signing, the total moorage must be paid in full. One month before of the contract, notice and payment will be required in order to retain the slip for the following year.

Summer Moorage: $10.00 per foot per month
Summer Moorage is considered any moorage under a 6-month time period. Moorage payment will be due upon contract signing. One month before expiration of the contract, notice and payment will be required in order to retain the slip for the following year.

Hydro Fees: 12 cents per kilowatt hour used
Hydro fees will be billed semi-annually.

Nestled in a beautiful bay at the foot of a forest-clad mountain, it’s easy to imagine Sunset Marina as a wild and remote northern location. Yet, it’s less than a half hour drive from Vancouver along the spectacular Sea to Sky Highway.
Directly across from Sunset Marina lie the local islands of Bowen, Boyer, Gambier, Anvil, and Keats, with the snow-capped coastal mountains in the background. And just beyond the islands lies the start of the beautiful and legendary Sunshine Coast. It’s all there for you to enjoy and explore.
Because our marina is really on the side of a mountain, the ocean continues to plunge to seven hundred feet just outside our breakwater, so you don’t have to travel far for excellent year-round salmon, prawn, and crab fishing. It’s right at our doorstep.

Lions Bay Marina

The Marina & Pier has recently been sold. Wishing Norma all the best in this next chapter.
Bowen Island is the jewel of Howe Sound.
It has year-round moorage with 45 berths. During the high season, overnight moorage is limited. As with the Union Steamship Company Marina, there is easy access to dining, sport fishing licences, kayak rentals, and other amenities near the marina.

Sewell’s Marina 

West Vancouver Marina is located in Fisherman's Cove in West Vancouver, just north of Light House Park. The marina offers annual and seasonal moorage with great access to the beautiful boating and fishing destinations.

Customers would enjoy the convenience of an on-site gas station and access to a full service boatyard with a travel lift. All slips are equipped with shore power and water service.

Transient Moorage

We have also expanded our dry storage area to facilitate the need for boat storage with power and water supplied at a nominal fee. Our expanded parking lot now has room for all weekend boaters to park their trucks and trailers in an easy, accessible area.

Crescent Beach Marina

This is a great public marina to launch canoes and kayaks. The parking right next to the dock is reserved for the Nicomekl Rowing Club, but there are about three spots in that lot where people may park for up to 15 minutes to unload their car-top boats. There is free public parking that's a short walk away from the dock to the west.
The park's most important ecosystem is its wetland, including the tidal Nicomekl River, a salmon-bearing creek, and many ponds and marshes. Wetland habitats are rare in British Columbia, so take care by staying on trails and keeping dogs on leash at all times. By doing so, you will also protect the many animals (including shorebirds, barn owls and fish) that live here.
