Marina de Vilamoura is situated in the old part of Faro District, on the Southern coast of Portugal. Faro District (Distrito de Faro in Portuguese) is located in the extreme South of Portugal, with Faro as its capital.

The Guadiana River is navigable for another 20 miles upstream, offering picturesque points of attraction like Alcoutim, on the Portuguese side, or San Lucar del Guadiana, on the Spanish bank. We are a family owned and operated business. Winds: North in summer and South / SW in winter; moderate or strong wind from the South, SW or SE produces sea breaking in the bar. Currents: 2 to 4 knots in the ebb and 1 to 2 knots in the flood.
