Completely rebuilt in 1993 reinforced by a fixed and fully equipped dock, the new marina of Pichette has been in operation since July 1994. Since 1999 the port has been operated by the Pichette Est cooperative society (SCOPE), linked by a contract with the municipalities of Chardonne and Corseaux, holders of the cantonal concession. The port of Basset offers a magnificent view of the Pre-Alps of Vaud, Valais and the Alps, with the charismatic Ile de Salagnon in the foreground. Montreux is located 2 km east of the port of Basset. La Tour-de-Peilz is located 3 km west of the port. The port warden's office is located at the eastern end of the SNMC Clubhouse terrace.
