About Haven Strijenham
The Strijenham marina is managed by the Strijenham Water Sports Association. For information, please contact the chairman: Mr G. Niemeijer, mail: Gijs@ontwerpwerkplaats.nl The port of Strijenham is one of the few remaining tidal ports on the Oosterschelde. Where pleasure boats now dominate the harbor scene, captains have loaded and unloaded their cargo to and from the dock for centuries. The animation of yesteryear is still there, only now mainly in the form of cycling and water recreation. Nieuw-Strijen is a polder and former municipality in the Dutch province of Zeeland, situated on the island of Tholen. The small town "Nieuw-Strijen" is now called Strijenham. Nieuw-Strijen was an independent municipality until 1813, when it merged with Poortvliet
