About Stadshaven Goes
The Stadshaven of Goes is the old harbor of the town of Goes and has been in use as a visitor harbor since 1974. The harbour is centrally located and has a connection to the Oosterschelde National Park via the Goese Sas. The city's harbour quay walls are a national monument. The city's harbour is surrounded by historic houses, including 't Soepuus, an old tidal water mill. The names of various streets around Stadshaven recall the historical significance of various products that were of great importance to the Goese economy, namely Bierkade and Turfkade. It is a tradition that Sinterklaas arrives at the port of the city of Goes.
