All incoming international yachts and/or South African yachts returning from a foreign port must register with OSASA at www.osasa.org.za in order to obtain pre-arrival authorisation at least 96 hours before arrival in Durban. The Pratique with Maritime Health Declaration form for each crew member (available on the OSASA website) together with Yellow Fever vaccination status (if applicable) will be submitted by OSASA to the relevant authorities before arrival. DEPARTURE FORMALITIES Before departure for coastal cruising, cruising yachts are required to visit the Marina office to complete the online Passage Plan, applicable Customs document as well as settle any outstanding fees, Port Taxes to be paid to Port Authority, and return security access cards. If departing South Africa for another country, yachts must also clear out of Immigration to have their passports stamped. Once having been stamped out of the country, cruisers may not re-enter South Africa at another port without going through the whole Entry Process once again. PLEASE NOTE: The Port Authority office is NOT open on weekends and Public Holidays, therefore clearing out should be done on the Friday morning prior to leaving Durban to travel to the next Port.​ Departure All yachts leaving the port must first call “Durban Port Control” on VHF Ch 09 and request permission to exit the Port.
