The Hopewell City Marina, which is conveniently situated on the Appomattox River and only a mile from the James River, provides some of the best recreational boating and fishing possibilities in the area. Every slip has a water supply, a safe entrance, and an electric meter connection. Boats longer than thirty feet can dock in slips, which have depths ranging from six to fifteen feet (tidal waters).
