LNI Meina

The Italian Naval League was founded in La Spezia on 2 June 1897, it is a non-economic public law body, with an apolitical association base, with the aim of spreading the seafaring spirit, knowledge of maritime problems, love for the sea and commitment to protecting the marine environment and inland waters. The Italian Naval League is subject to the supervision of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport for the profiles of their respective competence. The Italian Naval League has 250 sections distributed throughout the country and about 60,000 members. The LNI section of Meina, founded in 2007 thanks to the foresight of the Municipal Administration, now has about 336 members and carries out various institutional activities as required by the national statute. In particular, we are dedicated to spreading nautical culture among young people, with conferences and courses in sailing and kayaking, to raising awareness of environmental problems with particular reference to the waters of our beautiful lake. Our section also plays an important role in social activity, organizing regattas, meetings, dinners, trips and initiatives aimed at people with disabilities. The Meina Section is ready to welcome anyone willing to devote their time and knowledge in the spirit of the Italian Naval League, for the pleasure of socializing with friends.
