About Ida Lewis Yacht Club (ILYC),
The Ida Lewis Yacht Club (ILYC), established in 1928, is a prestigious private yacht club situated on Lime Rock in Newport Harbor, Rhode Island. Named in honor of the renowned lighthouse keeper Ida Lewis, the club occupies the historic Lime Rock Light, which now serves as its clubhouse. Membership is by invitation only, emphasizing a community of individuals with a shared passion for yachting and maritime traditions. Berthing: The club offers 25 slips for members, with transient moorings available to members of reciprocal yacht clubs. Mooring rates are approximately $65 per night, and reservations are accepted 48 hours in advance. Please note that catamarans are not accommodated due to space constraints in the mooring field. Dock Services: Facilities include floating docks with a mean low water depth of 8 feet and an approach depth of 12 feet, accommodating a variety of vessels. Historic Clubhouse: Housed in the former Lime Rock Lighthouse, the clubhouse offers a unique setting with panoramic views of Newport Harbor Dining & Social Areas: Members enjoy access to dining facilities, a bar, and spaces for social events, including themed dinners, cocktail parties, and family gatherings
