Appomattox Boat Harbor

One of Prince George County's best kept secrets, the Appomattox Boat Harbor has been family-owned and operated for over 50 years. Conveniently located less than 2 miles from I-95, shopping and hotels in nearby Colonial Heights, Virginia. On approximately 15 acres, we have 50 floating slips for boats up to 60 feet, covered land storage or open storage on trailers in our fenced lot. The Appomattox Boat Harbor is open 24/7, 365 days a year. We have the area's longest dual-ramp for motorized boats, canoe/kayak launch, restaurant with riverside seating, ship store, restrooms with showers, clubhouse with integrated sound system, TVs, pool and grill, slip-side boat mechanic, non-ethanol fuel, and plenty of free parking. The Appomattox Boat Harbor is situated on a quiet part of the river with great fishing, lots of wildlife, turtles, ducks, eagles, osprey and heron. It's an ideal place to learn to kayak, paddle board, or canoe. You can also launch a boat and go skiing or take a ride down the Appomattox River to the James River. The festival area is serene location for riverside weddings and family reunions. For over 25 years, it has been a popular place to listen to live music on the weekends (either from your boat or on a blanket by the river) at the "Harbor Blast" concerts that benefit local charities.
