Shearwater Resort and Marina, also known as the 'Gateway to the Great Bear Rainforest', is located on the Central Coast of British Columbia. Our strategic location makes Shearwater the ideal location for Sport Fishing and eco-tourism. And Shearwater is the central hub for mariners heading to and from Alaska or Haida Gwaii via the inside passage. Our destination has all of the amenities that you could ever wish for in a wilderness environment: a two lodge hotel, various private accommodations, a 9,000sq ft restaurant and bar, transient moorage, fuel dock, marine repair shipyard, groceries, potable water from an artesian well, liquor outlet, hardware store, laundromat, showers, boat rentals, fishing tackle, free Wi-Fi and more! Mooring at Shearwater couldn’t be easier. Check in with the Harbourmaster at the harbour house to arrange payment, or contact moorage@shearwater.ca. Our rates are competitive and based on the linear length of your vessel. If you need power, we’ll be happy to turn on a breaker for you. We offer 15-, 30- and 50-amp service from multiple points on our dock. Looking to fuel up or get some basic supplies? Our fuel dock convenience store has you covered. In the peak season, advance reservations are required to ensure we have a slip for you.
